| In July 2007 six of the peregrine falcons that were hacked and released at New River Gorge National River were recaptured and equipped with satellite transmitter packs. The following photographs show the recapture, attaching of the satellite packs and release of the falcons. The project was a cooperative effort with the College of William and Mary, Virginia Dept of Game and Inland Fisheries, Three Rivers Avian Center, West Virginia Department of Natural Resources and the National Park Service. |
